21:23 耶稣进了殿，正施教的时候，祭司长和民间的长老到祂跟前来，说，你仗着什么权柄作这些事？给你这权柄的是谁？
And when He came into the temple, the chief priests and elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching and said, By what authority do You do these things? And who gave You this authority?
21:24 耶稣回答他们说，我也要问你们一句话，你们若告诉我，我就告诉你们，我仗着什么权柄作这些事。
And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:25 约翰的浸是从那里来的？是从天上来的，还是从人来的？他们就彼此议论说，我们若说从天上来的，祂必对我们说，这样，你们为什么不信他？
The baptism of John, from where did it come, from heaven or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven, He will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?
21:26 若说从人来的，我们又怕群众，因为他们都以约翰为申言者。
But if we say, From men, we fear the crowd, for all hold John as a prophet.
21:27 于是回答耶稣说，我们不知道。耶稣也对他们说，我也不告诉你们，我仗着什么权柄作这些事。
And they answered Jesus and said, We do not know. He too said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:28 你们怎么看？一个人有两个孩子，他来对大的说，孩子，你今天到葡萄园里去作工。
But what do you think? A man had two children. And he came to his first son and said, Child, go today and work in the vineyard.
21:29 他回答说，我不去；后来懊悔，就去了。
And he answered and said, I do not want to; yet later he regretted and went.
21:30 又来对另一个也这样说，他回答说，主啊，我去；却没有去。
And he came to the other and said likewise. And he answered and said, I will, sir; yet he did not go.
21:31 两个当中，那一个完成了父亲的心意？他们说，大的。耶稣对他们说，我实在告诉你们，税吏和娼妓要在你们以前进神的国。
Which of the two did the will of the father? They said, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and the harlots are going into the kingdom of God before you.
21:32 因为约翰在义路中来到你们这里，你们不信他，税吏和娼妓倒信他。你们看见了，后来还是不悔改去信他。
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him. And you, when you saw it, did not later regret it to believe him.
