1.耶稣是我__________ 的王。

2.每一天我都会向祂__________

(每一天我都会__________祂) ,

3.当我与我的__________,

4. 愿通过我_________ _______

TRUE LOVE LESSON 4: LOVE IS EVERLASTING

In this lesson, the children will learn that true love, the kind that comes from God will last forever, no matter what may come.

TOPICS Love, Endurance, Perseverance

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes) Arrange before class to have the items listed below displayed on a table. As kids arrive, have them rate each item from 1 to 9, with 9 being the item that will last the longest. Discuss their choices once everyone is finished. Although some items will last much longer then others, nothing will last forever. Even the physical Bible and the rock will eventually turn into dust. But there is something that will last forever, God's Love.

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes) "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV Continue memorizing the entire passage, concentrating. Kids should now be memorizing verse 7.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes) Introduction: God's love surely endures forever. Many verses in the Bible tell us this, such as 1 Chronicles 16:34, "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever." But nowhere is it so clear as in Psalm 136 where the phrase "His love endures forever" appears 26 times. For the scripture reading today, read the first part of each verse in Psalm 136, and have the children respond in unison the second part of each verse, "His love endures forever" As you read, tell the children to pay special attention to the first part of each verse, because there will be a quiz. Psalm 136:1-26 Discussion Questions: (As the children recall these items, write them on the board.) 1. What were some of the things created by God that were mentioned in the first part of this passage? (Heavens, earth, waters, lights, sun, moon, and stars.) 2. What were some ways God protected his people that were mentioned in the middle part of this passage? (Saved them from death of firstborn, brought them out of Egypt, divided Red Sea, and struck down kings.) 3. What were some ways God provided for his people that were mentioned in the last part of this passage? (He gave land as an inheritance, gave freedom, and gave food.) 4. Because the love of God endures forever, what should we give? (Thanks.)

CLASS EXERCISE (10 minutes) One Kid's Treasure (Story) Click here

ALTERNATE CLASS EXERCISE (5 minutes) Poem for Jesus (Activity) Have the children write out the following poem on a sheet of colorful construction paper. They can personalize each poem by selecting one of the words shown to fill in the blanks. They can take this home as their own personal treasure. Jesus is my __________ King, His love endures forever,

Holy, precious, beautiful, wonderful Every day I'll __________ Him, And be with Him forever. pray to, sing to, worship, follow

When I'm with my __________, Or with those whom God loves,

friends, family, enemies, sister, brother May Jesus be the one they see, _________ _______ in me. living pure, working well, shining bright

APPLICATION (3 minutes) We have often heard it said that nothing lasts forever. But that is just not true. The love that comes from Jesus does last forever. But how can we show this to others? How can we give a love that is forever? The answer is actually quite simple. Whatever we do on this earth has an everlasting effect. The world changes because of what we do. If we live a life full of love, the changes we start will reflect that love. The love will spread to others, and because they felt that love, they too will spread more love. And that love will spread again and again. The effect will be everlasting.

NEXT WEEK Time to choose another exciting lesson from Kids Sunday School Place.
