做：

讨论问题：

对于每种情境，问以下问题：

Choose to Persevere

In everyday life, children are faced with situations where they must choose to persevere.

TOPICS:

Difficulties, Endurance, Perseverance, Trials

MATERIALS:

Activity page for each child [PDF] Click herePencils or markers

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION:

Before class, print or make copies of the activity page for each child.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

First have the children look up and read James 1:2-4. Then, hand out the "Choose to Persevere" activity page. The children will read five different situations where the characters do not show perseverance. Then they will choose, from a list of alternative endings, what the characters should have done to show perseverance.

Discussion Questions:

For each situation, ask the following:

1. In what way did the child in the situation not show perseverance?

2. In what way did the ending you chose for the situation show perseverance?

3. What bad things might happen to the child by not persevering?

4. How is perseverance rewarding in these situations?

Final Question:

The Bible says, "You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:36 NIV. What is it that God has promised? (Eternal Life)
