打印书签问候语、书签字母和书签语句。为每个孩子准备

(1) 一张彩色卡纸

(2) 一份书签问候语

(3) 一张书签字母

(4) 一张书签语句


说明

做:

首先让孩子们填写书签问候语的空白。大多数情况下,这里会写上“爸爸”,但如今许多孩子在家中没有父亲。对于没有父亲的孩子,可以使用其他词语。那些在孩子生活中扮演父亲角色的男性可能包括祖父、叔叔、老师、教练等。


让孩子们从“书签字母”上剪下字母,拼出他们父亲或父亲形象的名字。如果名字太长,可以让孩子使用名字的缩写。一旦剪好字母,孩子们将沿着虚线把字母对折,这样完成的作品就像一本书,封面上有字母。如果需要额外的元音或辅音,请打印额外的书签字母。

FATHER'S DAY BOOKMARK

Kids have fun making this personalized bookmark for their dads.

DURATION:

Approximately 20 minutes

PREPARATION:

Print copies of the Bookmark Greeting, Bookmark Letters, and Bookmark Sayings. Each child will get one of the following:

(1) Piece of construction paper

(1) Bookmark Greeting

(1) Sheet of Bookmark Letters

(1) Sheet of Bookmark Sayings


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Children will start by filling in the blank of the bookmark greeting. Most often, the word Dad will go here, but today many children do not have a father at home. Other words can be used here for children without fathers. Men who have acted as a father figure in children's lives may include grandfathers, uncles, teachers, coaches, etc.


Have the kids cut out the letters from the sheet of "Bookmark Letters" to spell the name of their father or father figure. If the name is too long, you may have the child use a shortened version of the name. Once the letters have been cut out, the children will fold the letters in half along the dotted line, so that the finished product opens like a book with the letter on the cover. Print additional sheets of bookmark letters in the event extra vowels or consonants are needed.


Put the letters in order to determine the length of the construction paper background. If a short name is used, ensure that sufficient space is used to enable the children to glue the "Bookmark Greeting" on the back of the bookmark. Have the children cut the construction paper background to size, leaving enough room to have a slight border around the letters. Have the kids glue the letters to the construction paper background.


The next step will be to glue the "Bookmark Greeting" on the back of the construction paper background.


Have the class cut out the corresponding saying for each letter in the name they chose. Please note that the gray letter itself will not be used, but is a guide to easily find the correct saying for each letter. Have the children glue the saying inside each corresponding letter, so that the saying can be read when the cover is opened. If additional vowels or consonants were used, have the child write in their own special saying that starts with the letter that was duplicated.
