和孩子们一起多背诵几次这节经文，直到他们可以独立重复。然后让孩子们回答以下问题：

谁在说这些话？（耶稣）
耶稣是怎样爱我们的？
我们可以通过哪些方式像耶稣爱我们那样去爱别人？

故事(15分钟)

让孩子们围在你身边，准备听故事。在介绍之后，从圣经中读出故事。如果可能的话，使用儿童圣经，这样孩子们更容易理解。

介绍：

你知道吗，世界上有些人还不认识耶稣？神希望我们所有人都认识祂和祂的儿子耶稣。神给我们的一个任务就是向他人传讲关于耶稣的好消息。神爱我们，希望我们都成为祂家庭的一部分。

读马太福音9:35-38（工人少了）

讨论问题：

耶稣到哪里去传讲福音了？（所有的城镇和村庄）
耶稣所讲的好消息是什么？（天国和神赦免罪的解决之道）
耶稣怜悯那些受欺压、无助的人，他们像没有牧人保护的羊。谁是我们的好牧人？（耶稣）
耶稣告诉祂的门徒，“庄稼多，工人少。” 耶稣希望我们每个人都做自己的那一份，告诉他人好消息。我们可以通过哪些方式做到这一点？（介绍耶稣给我们的朋友，邀请他们和我们一起去教会和主日学。）

向孩子们解释，神有很多美好的礼物要赐给我们，但祂不希望我们独享这些礼物，而是希望我们与他人分享。准备一碗苹果片。让孩子们轮流把苹果片传给房间里的其他孩子。当苹果片递给他们时，他们可以拿一片苹果，然后把碗传给还没有拿到苹果片的孩子。孩子们享用点心时，向他们解释这与向朋友分享耶稣的福音类似。

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12 NIV

Say this verse serveral times with the children until they can repeat it by themselves. Then, have the children answer the following questions:

1. Who is saying these words? (Jesus)

2. How does Jesus love us?

3. What are some ways we can love someone else like Jesus loves us?

BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you in preparation for story time. After the introduction, read the story from the Bible. If possible, use a Children's Bible so it will be easier for the kids to understand.

Introduction:Did you know that some people in the world don't know Jesus? God wants all of us to know about Him and His Son Jesus. One of the jobs that God gives us is to tell others the Good News about Jesus. God loves us and wants all of us to be part of His family.

Read Matthew 9:35-38 (The Workers Are Few)

Discussion Questions:

1. Where did Jesus go to preach the Good News? (All the towns and villages.)

2. What is the good news that Jesus spoke about? (Heaven and God's solution for the forgiveness of sin.)

3. Jesus had compassion on the people, who were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd to protect them. Who is our good shepherd? (Jesus.)

4. Jesus told His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Jesus wants us all to do our part and tell others the Good News. What are some ways we can do this? (Tell our friends about Jesus and ask them to come to church and Sunday school with us.)

5. How are we showing love when we tell someone about Jesus? (When we tell someone about Jesus, that person can also receive Jesus' love.)

6. Finish this verse, "Love each other as _______" (I have loved you.)

Explain to the children that God has many good gifts for us, but He does not want us to keep these gifts to ourselves, He wants us to share them with others. Have apple slices in a bowl. Have the children take turns passing the bowl of apples to other children in the room. When the bowl is passed to them they may take out one apple slice and then pass the bowl onto another child who does not have an apple slice yet. As the children enjoy their snack explain how this is similar to sharing the Good News of Jesus with our friends.
