故事(15分钟)
让孩子们围在你身边,准备听故事。在介绍之后,直接从圣经中读出故事。如果可能的话,使用儿童圣经,这样孩子们更容易理解。
介绍:
上次我们学到,以色列人是神拣选的,要成为神独特的子民。然而,他们不想成为独特的子民,而是拒绝了神。他们想要一个人来作他们的王,而不是神。所以,神给了他们一位王。他指示一位名叫撒母耳的先知,告诉他谁将成为以色列人的王。让我们从圣经中读读关于他们的新王的故事吧。

BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)
Gather the children around you in preparation for story time. After the introduction, read the story right from the Bible. If possible, use a Children's Bible so it will be easier for the kids to understand.
Introduction:
Last time we learned that the Israelites were chosen by God to be unique and special. However, they did not want to be unique or special, and rejected God. They wanted a person to be king over them instead of God. So, God gave them a king. He showed a prophet named Samuel who He chose to be king over the Israelites. Let's read about their new king from the Bible.
Read 1 Samuel 10:20-24 (Saul is Hiding)
Discussion Questions:
1. Where was Saul hiding? (Among the baggage.)
2. Why do you think Saul was hiding? (Maybe Saul was afraid of being a king, because he knew it would be hard work.)
3. Who chose Saul to be king? (God)
4. What did the Israelites shout when their king was chosen? (Long live the king!)
5. If God calls you to do something, like listen to your parents or share, should you be afraid? (No.)
6. Should we be afraid when God calls us for something? Why or why not? (Jesus will give us strength and courage to help us finish whatever He calls us to do.)

Click hereStart by praying to God and thanking Him for knowing each child by name. As the children eat a healthy snack, discuss with them how God knows their middle and last names as well. Invite each child to share his or her full name with the class.
