故事(15分钟)

介绍：

我们今天的故事是关于撒母耳的，他一生都事奉神。他任命扫罗为以色列的王。然而，扫罗在很多事情上都没有顺从神。让我们看看因为扫罗的不顺从而发生了什么。

(可选) 读撒母耳记上 3:19-21；7:15-8:9；15:17-23 和 16:1-13

讨论问题：

1.神对撒母耳的应许都实现了吗？（都实现了。）

2.撒母耳在成长过程中以什么方式事奉神？（撒母耳被选为先知和士师。）

3.撒母耳事奉神多久？（一生都事奉神。）

THE PROPHET SAMUEL

LESSON 3: PROPHET AND JUDGE

In this lesson, children discover that Samuel followed God all the days of his life, while Saul lost his job as king because he was disobedient.

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)

"I will always obey your law, for ever and ever." Psalm 119:44 NIV

Take a few moments to explain why it is so important to obey God's law. Practice saying the verse out loud several times. Then, have the kids sing the verse to God in praise and thanksgiving using any made-up tune.

BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you for story time. After the introduction, read the Children's version of the story. As an option, you can read the story about Samuel directly from the Bible.

Introduction:

Our story today is about Samuel, and how he served God all the days of his life. He appointed Saul to be king of Israel. However, Saul did not obey God in all things. Let's find out what happened to Saul because of his disobedience.

Discussions Questions:

1. How many of His promises did God keep to Samuel? (All of them.)

2. In what ways did Samuel serve God as he grew up? (Samuel was chosen to be a prophet & judge.)

3. How long did Samuel serve God? (All the days of his life.)

4. When Samuel grew old, why didn't the people of Israel want Samuel's sons to be judges? (Samuel's sons were greedy and were bad judges.)

5. The people asked for a king to rule over them, what was name of the first king to rule over Israel? (Saul.)

6. Saul started out as a good king, but as time went on he became disobedient to God. What happened because of King Saul's sin? (God rejected Saul as king and put someone else in his place.)

7. God led Samuel to appoint a second king to rule over Israel, what was the second king's name? (David.)
