故事：
大卫是一个强壮而聪慧的年轻人，他花时间照看父亲的羊群，这并不是一件容易的工作。但无论做什么，大卫总是尽力而为，并在一切事上事奉神。有一天，神决定给大卫一个特别的任务，这个任务将永远改变他的生命。
神需要为以色列选立一位新王，于是祂对先知撒母耳-一位正直敬虔的人-说：“撒母耳，拿着角盛满油，前往伯利恒。当你到达那里，你会找到我所拣选的王，他将统治我的子民。”
撒母耳遵照神的吩咐，来到伯利恒，找到一个名叫耶西的男人。他对耶西说：“你和你的众子一同来献祭给耶和华。”
当所有人都到达献祭的地方时，撒母耳看到了耶西的长子以利押。他身材高大，相貌俊美，看起来很适合作王。“这一定是神拣选的新王！”撒母耳心想。
然而，神说：“不！”
神对撒母耳解释说，人的外表并不重要，神看重的是人的内心。神察看人的心，而不是外貌。随后，撒母耳又看到了耶西的次子亚比拿达，他心想：“这会是神拣选的新王吗？”
神再次说：“不！”
接着，耶西的第三个儿子沙玛走过来，神仍然说：“不！”
神要拣选一个真正敬畏祂、荣耀祂的人。撒母耳让耶西的七个儿子都走过一遍，但神没有拣选其中的任何一个。于是撒母耳问耶西：“你还有其他儿子吗？”
耶西回答说：“嗯……是的，我还有一个小儿子，他叫大卫。他年纪还小，正在外面放羊呢。”
“快去把大卫带来！”撒母耳说，“在我见到他之前，我不会休息。”
过了一会儿，大卫终于来了。撒母耳看到，大卫不仅健壮英俊，而且散发着一种特别的气质，因为大卫敬爱神。
神对撒母耳说：“起来！他就是我要拣选的那位。”
于是，撒母耳拿出盛满膏油的角，在大卫头上膏立他。大卫欣然接受了神给他的任务。从那一天起，神的灵大大地充满了大卫，他最终成为一位伟大的君王。

The Anointing of David
David is anoinited for a very special and important job, to be king of God's people. (1 Samuel 16:1-13)

David did the best he could, and always served God in everything he did. One day, God decided to give David a very special job. This job would change his life forever. God needed a new King for Israel. He called on the prophet Samuel, a very righteous man, and told him, “Samuel, fill your horn with oil, and go to Bethlehem. When you get there, you will find the new king I have chosen to rule my people.” |
Samuel went to Bethlehem, just as God commanded, and found a man named Jesse. “Come with me to make an offering to the Lord, you and all of your sons,” Samuel said to Jesse.
When everyone finally arrived at the place for the offering, Samuel saw Jesse’s oldest son, Eliab. He looked like the perfect one to become king. “Surely this is the new king,” thought Samuel.
God said, “No!”
God explained to Samuel that the way a man looks on the outside is not important. God cares about the way a man is on the inside. God looks at a person’s heart. Then Samuel saw Jesse’s second son, named Abinadab. “Could this be the new king?” wondered Samuel.
Again, God said, “No!”
Then the third son Shammah came by and God said “No!”
God wanted someone for the job who would honor Him. Samuel made all seven brothers pass by him, but God did not choose any of them. Samuel asked Jesse, “Do you have any other sons”?
“Well, yes, I do have one more son,” Jesses replied. “His name is David, but he is very young, and he is out watching the sheep.”
“Hurry, go and get David.” Samuel said. “I will not rest until I see him too.”
Some time passed, but finally Samuel saw David walking towards them. He noticed that David was not only strong and handsome, but also had a pleasing quality about him, because David loved the Lord.
“Arise, he is the one” God told Samuel.
Then, Samuel took his horn with oil inside, and anointed David with it. David gladly accepted the job that God had for him. From that day on, David received power from the Spirit of the Lord, and became a very, very, great king.
