课前准备

说明

HUGGING HEARTS COLLAGE

The class will create a group project about forgiveness. by Leah Pittsinger TOPICS: Forgiveness, Mercy MATERIALS: Foam board/poster board Colored construction paper Scissors, marker(s) Clear tape DURATION: Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION: Write “HUGGING HEARTS” at the top of the foam board. Then cut out a large heart from the construction paper (in the color of your choice) and write “GOD” in the middle of the heart with big letters. Next, tape the heart in the middle of the foam board. Lastly, cut out numerous smaller hearts in other colors for the children.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Help each child write names of their friends and family members on the hearts. Then they will tape each heart, so it is touching, or “hugging,” the outer edge of the “GOD” heart. Once the edges are full, they may continue adding hearts on the edges of the smaller hearts to make a collage. Challenge the class to fill up the board with “hugging” hearts by listing as many people as possible. Once completed, display the board outside the classroom door for the parents to view when they arrive. Application: When God forgives us, it’s like He “hugs” our hearts! And when we forgive others, we “hug” their hearts too. Forgiveness is a special way to show people that God loves them, and it helps our hearts to show love as well.
