FORGIVENESS IS A GIFT OF LOVE
A coloring and counting activity that teaches children that forgiveness is a gift of love.
TOPICS: Fellowship, Forgiveness, Love, Sin
MATERIALS: Activty page for each child [PDF] Click here Crayons or colored markers
DURATION: Approximately 10 minutes
PREPARATION: Print a copy of the activity for each child in class.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Tell the children that they are to count how many hearts are on the package and write this number of the space provided on the activity page. The students should color the hearts red then use other colors to make a pretty package. Read 1 Peter 4:8 Discussion Questions: 1. What does Jesus tell us to do in 1 Peter 4:8? (Love each other deeply.) 2. What does love cover over? (Sins.) 3. How is forgiveness a gift of love? (It shows the person that you are forgiving, that they mean more to you, than the wrong that they did.) 4. What happens when we ask God to forgive us for the wrong things we do? (God will forgive us, because He loves us very much.)
