Eyes of the Lord

A coloring and drawing activity to reveal how good it is to have the eyes of the Lord watching over us all the time. by Kristy Thornton

Coloring page for each child [PDF] Click hereCrayons or markers

DURATION:

Approximately 15 minutes

PREPARATION:

Before class, print one copy of the coloring page for each child. Have plenty of crayons or markers available on tables.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Before class, lay the coloring pages out on the tables along with plenty of crayons or markers. As children arrive, have them find a place at the table, take a blank coloring page, and color the eyes. They can also add eyelashes, eyebrows, and even a nose if they like. You may also want to complete one before class to use as an example.

As the children work on their coloring page, discuss with them how God knows all and sees all. His eyes are everywhere. Explain what Psalm 33:18 means, "The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him." Let them know that it is a very good thing to have the eyes of the Lord watching over us, because He knows and sees all. Jesus not only knows when we are happy and obedient to Him, but He also knows when we are in danger and need His help.

When finished, display the children's pictures on the walls so everyone can see the many colorful eyes of the Lord.
