课前准备

课前,打印十字架卡片,每张卡片放入一个气球中。还需打印“好思想或坏思想”,并将每条短语剪成细条。这些短语将在课堂上折叠后放入气球中。


说明

1.做

  • 让孩子们围坐成一个圈,把“好思想或坏思想”短语条放在你身旁。

  • 拿起一条短语,为孩子们举一个可能会有这种想法的情景。例如:拿到“生气”短语,可以问孩子们,如果弟弟或妹妹故意弄坏了他们最喜欢的玩具,他们会怎么想?他们可能会感到生气。对于“快乐”,可以问,如果是他们的生日并且有一个大派对,他们会有什么感受?

  • 也可以选择读出每个短语,让孩子们自己想一个可能会产生这种思想的情景。

  • 每次分享完短语后,将其折叠并放入一个气球中,然后把气球递给一个孩子。


当每个孩子都拿到一个装有“好思想或坏思想”短语以及一张十字架卡片的气球后,帮助他们把气球吹起来并系好。然后,孩子们可以在气球上画一个脸,可以是他们自己的脸。接着进入 “你要说什么”环节。


2.说

你独处时会想些什么?当你的妹妹告状说你做了坏事时,你会想些什么?当你摔倒并擦伤膝盖时,你会想些什么?


(给孩子们时间回答这些问题。)


我们需要在思想上把耶稣放在首位,就像我们之前学过的要在行动和言语中把耶稣放在首位一样。思想是我们生活中非常重要的一部分,思想会决定我们的行为以及我们如何说话和做事。

现在,我们要一个个地戳破气球,读出里面的纸条。我会问你,这是一种好思想还是坏思想。

(读出每条短语,并再次询问孩子们这是好思想还是坏思想。)

Balloon Thoughts

Do you ever wonder what is inside your friends’ heads? Jesus wants us to put Him first in our thoughts. 

TOPICS:

Choices, Godliness, Kindness, Pleasing God

MATERIALS:

1 Balloon for each child, Markers

DURATION:

Approximately 15 minutes


 

PREPARATION:

Before class, print out cross cards, and insert one into each balloon. Also, print out the "Good or Bad Thoughts" and cut out each phrase into thin strips. These strips will be folded and inserted into the balloons during class.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Have the children sit in a circle and lay the strips of Good or Bad thoughts near you. Pick up one and suggest an example of a situation where a child may have that thought. For example, if you pick the thought "Angry" you may want to ask the children how they might feel if their younger brother or sister broke their favorite toy on purpose. They might feel anger. Or for "Happy," you could ask how they might feel if it was their birthday and they are going to have a big party. As an option, you can read each thought and have the children come up with their own situation the may demonstrate that thought. After each, fold and insert the thought phrase into one of the balloons, and give the balloon to one of the children.


After each child has a balloon, with one Good or Bad thought and a cross card inside, help them blow up and tie each balloon. Then, the children can draw a face on it. It can be their own face. Then go into the What you will say portion of the activity.


WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

What do you think about when you are by yourself? What do you think about when your sister tells on you for doing something bad? What do you think about when you fall and scrape your knees on the ground?


(Allow the children time to answer these questions.)


We need to put Jesus first in our thoughts, like we learned in previous lessons to put Jesus first in our actions and our words. Our thoughts are a very important part of our lives and what we think can determine what we do and how we act or how we say something.

Now, we are going to pop each balloon, and read what is on the paper inside. I will ask you if it is a good thought or a bad thought. (Read each thought and ask again if it is a good thought, or a bad thought)


(The children will also see that there is something else inside their balloon, a cross. Let them know they can keep the cross as a reminder of how our thoughts affect what we do and say, and how Jesus wants us to put Him first in our thoughts. If time permits, let the children color their crosses.)
