课前准备

在桌子上铺上报纸或塑料垃圾袋，以保护桌面并方便清理。为每个孩子打印一张“心形图案页”。提前为每个孩子把一张彩色卡纸对折成像贺卡一样。把每种颜料倒一点在纸盘里 - 制作过程中根据需要补充，但每次只放少量颜料，以减少混乱。

让孩子们用食指蘸取一种颜料颜色，尽可能多地在心形里面盖指纹。即使指纹超出线条也没关系，后面会剪掉多余部分。大约盖15-20个指纹后，换下一种颜色。用湿巾快速清理手指后，再蘸取另一种颜色重复操作，直到心形里有丰富的指纹图案，至少使用三种不同颜色。（注意：指纹心大约需要10分钟才能完全干透，因此在等待期间可以进行下一步。）
让孩子们把便条粘贴到贺卡的内页上，同时用蜡笔在卡片内部签名和装饰。
指纹心干了以后，沿着外框剪下，只留下美丽的指纹图案。把心形贴到贺卡封面上。
用黑色马克笔帮孩子们在心形左右两边分别写上“I”和“MOM”，形成“I ❤️ MOM”的字样。

节省时间的小建议：可以在课前提前剪好便条部分。

Blessed Mother's Day Card

PREPARATION:

Cover the table with newspaper or a plastic trash bag to protect it from paint and make cleanup easier. Print one "heart page" for each child in class. Fold a sheet of construction paper in half like a greeting card for each child. Place a small amount of each paint color on paper plates—refill with paint as needed during the craft, but keep the amount of paint small to minimize the mess.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Say, "God’s word tells us to treasure the instruction and directions that our parents give to us. Your Mom loves you so much and I bet you love her too! God has blessed her by giving her a special gift in you. You are going to make a beautiful card for your mother to show her that you love her!

Directions:

1. Help children cut out around the dotted lines of the notes and set these aside for later use.

2. Tape the children's heart pages to the newspaper covering the table.

3. Allow children to dip their pointer fingers in one color of paint. Instruct them to make as many paint fingerprints inside their hearts as possible. It’s okay if paint goes outside the lines as the excess will be cut off. After 15-20 fingerprints are visible have children rotate to the next color of paint. Clean the index finger quickly with a baby wipe and have children dip their fingers in the next paint color and repeat until many prints are visible. Repeat this process as necessary, making sure that there are at least 3 colors in each heart. (Please note: These will take 10 minutes to dry, so set these out and move on to next steps until the heart has fully dried.)

4. Have children glue the note inside the front cover of the card and have them write their names and decorate the inside of the cards with crayons while the painted hearts dries.

5. Cut out the painted hearts along the lines so only the beautiful paint shows. Glue the hearts to the front cover of the cards.

6. Using a black marker help children write "I" and "MOM" on either side of the painted heart.

Timesaving Option:

Cut the note portion of the activity pages out before class.
