上课前，把黄色建筑纸剪成四个方块。打印出耶稣和乘客的图片，并剪下每个图片。还需要用黑色建筑纸剪出1英寸的圆形。每个孩子需要一张耶稣的图片、一张乘客的图片、一个黄色方块和四个黑色圆形。

PREPARATION:

Before class, cut sheets of yellow construction paper into four squares. Print out pictures of Jesus and the passenger, cutting out each one. Also, cut out 1-inch circles from black construction paper. You will need one picture of Jesus, one picture of a passenger, one yellow square, and four black circles for each child.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Start by letting the children color the picture of Jesus and the passenger. Explain that the passengers represent them. If the children want, they can add hair color, faces, or write their names on the figures.

Next, give each child a yellow square and four wheels. Have the children fold the sides of the vehicle as shown on the visual instructions. Then, have them glue four wheels to the sides of their vehicle. Finally, have them fold and glue the Jesus and passenger figures to the vehicle as shown.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

When Jesus was on Earth, He let God be the Lord over His life. Jesus said, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

Jesus set the perfect example of how to trust in the Lord. He trusted His Lord all the way to the cross. Now, it is time for us to trust in our Lord Jesus, and let Him have the steering wheel to guide us down all of life's roads. Sometimes, we don't know which way to go, or what to do, but Jesus always does. When we let Jesus take the wheel and guide us, our life will be much easier. We can pretend it is a taxicab.

Who knows what a taxicab is? (Allow for answers.)

What does a taxi driver do? (He or she steers the vehicle, is in the front seat, and knows how to get to where we want to go.)

Like the driver of a taxicab, Jesus should be in the front seat of our vehicle because He knows the best direction for our lives. *Many taxicabs are yellow, but not all. The application of this craft is the same using any color construction paper.
