God loves puppy dogs and baby bunnies, but He loves us even more!

Dog dish (or a picture of one)

DURATION:

Approximately 5 minutes

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You will compare the way God cares for all the animals to how He cares for us even more.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

(Hold up the dog dish, or picture, for all in the class to see.) Do you know what this is? (Allow for answers.)

Yes, you are correct, it is a Dog dish. Many people keep different kinds of animals as pets, do any of you have pets? (Allow for answers.)

Pets are great and a ton of fun to have around the house. We love our pets, don't we? Pets are also a big responsibility, you have to feed them and clean up after them.

I have some more questions for all of you. Who takes care of all the wild animals? Who feeds the birds and squirrels? Who takes care of the baby ducks, frogs and bunny rabbits? (Allow for answers.)

If you said that God takes care of all the wild animals, you would be correct. God supplies all of their needs, food water and a place to live. Did you know that God loves us even more than the animals He created?

Read Matthew 10:29-31

So you see we are very valuable to God and He loves us very much. God takes care of all the animals and He So, when you see little baby ducks, frogs or bunny rabbits, remember that God loves them and takes care of them. Remember also that God loves us even more. It is important for us to thank God every day for supplying all of our needs.
