主题

等孩子(10分钟)
孩子们到达时,给他们活动中的第三对图片(用我们的思想将耶稣放在首位)。
如果不用布告栏,孩子们仍可以涂色,并将图片张贴在墙上。每组图片帮助孩子们理解:当有人将耶稣放在首位时,生活是什么样子;以及当有人没有将耶稣放在首位时的对比。此外,还有预先上好色的图片可供选择。

神盼望我们把最好的奉献给祂。祂为我们做了许多大事,有时我们唯一能感谢祂的方式就是将这一切回报给祂。
当我们忠心事奉神时,我们在哪里会感到快乐?(在心里深处)
当我们思想神为我们所做的大事时,我们在用身体的哪个部分?(大脑/思想)
像上周一样,多次举起一颗红色纸心,并问:“我们应该为主做什么?”孩子们回答:“全心事奉祂。”
故事(15分钟)
围坐在孩子们身边准备讲故事。介绍后,用儿童版本的故事讲述,或直接从圣经中朗读故事。
引言:
今天的故事讲述了一位既年轻又富有的人。我们将深入了解这个人认为自己应该如何跟随耶稣。
(选项)朗读马太福音19:13-22
讨论问题:
富有的年轻人喜欢耶稣和孩子们在一起的什么?(他看到耶稣放下时间为孩子们祷告和祝福)
这个年轻人向耶稣提问有关永生的什么?(我该做什么好事才能得到永生?)
耶稣对这个年轻人最初的回答是什么?(遵守诫命)

PUTTING JESUS FIRST
LESSON 3: With Our Thoughts
What we think about is a big part of who we are. This lesson teaches the children how to put Jesus first with their thoughts. They also learn how bad thoughts lead us to do bad things, but good thoughts lead us to do good things.

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

As the children arrive, give them the third picture pair found in the bulletin board/coloring activity (Putting Jesus First with our Thoughts).
If you are not using the actual bulletin board idea, the children can still color the pictures, and you can post them on the wall. Each picture pair will help the children see what it looks like when someone is putting Jesus first, and what it looks like when someone is not putting Jesus first. Optional pre-colored pictures are also available.)

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)
“Serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you." 1 Samuel 12:24 NIV
Giving God our best is what He wants from us. God has done so much for us and sometimes, the only way to thank Him is by giving it back to Him.
When we serve God faithfully, where do we feel good? (Deep in our heart.)When we consider the great things God has done for us, what part of our body do we use? (Our mind.)
Continue, as last week, holding up a red paper heart several times throughout the lesson and ask, "what should you do for the Lord?" The children will answer, "Serve Him faithfully with all your heart."
BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)
Gather the children around you for story time. After the introduction, read the Children's version of the story. As an option, you can read the story about the little children and the rich young man directly from the Bible.
Introduction:
Today's story is about a man who is not only young, but is very rich. We are going to take a closer look at what this man thinks he is supposed to do to follow Jesus.

(Option) Read Matthew 19:13-22
Discussion Questions:
1. What did the rich young ruler like about what he saw with Jesus and the children? (He saw that Jesus gave up His time just to spend a little bit of time touching and praying for the children who were there.)
2. What did this young man ask Jesus about eternal life? (What good thing must I do to get eternal life?)
3. Jesus' first response to the rich young man was to obey what? (Obey the commandments.)
4. What else did Jesus say the man had to do? (Sell everything he had and give the money to the poor.)
5. How did the young man respond to what Jesus asked him to do? (He became very sad and walked away.)
6. Why was he so sad if he was trying to find out what to do to get into Heaven? (He was so sad because he had so much money and so many things that he simply wasn’t ready to give up. His things were more important to him than following Jesus.)
7. What must we do as children to get into Heaven? (Ask Jesus to forgive us and be sorry when we do something wrong. Love Jesus with all our heart.)

Prepare a variety of yummy fruit. You can give the children a scoop full of the fruit and as they eat, you can explain to them that when God made this fruit, He was thinking about how it would be great for us to have and enjoy. God gave us His best when He made the world. He gave us this fruit, the sun, the stars, and the beautiful trees. However, His very best gift to us was His own Son, Jesus. God gave us His best, and we can give God our best as well. Thank God for what He has given us and ask that we would be able to also give God our best everyday.
