讨论天国也是一个国度。


问问孩子们,当他们听到“国度”这个词时,会想到什么?他们会想到国王、王后,还是穿着盔甲、骑着骏马的骑士?


所有这些地上的国都会过去,但神的国是永恒的。

  • 祷告感谢神,因祂赐给我们天国的恩典,以及当我们接受耶稣进入我们的心时,祂赐给我们的永生。

  • 点心建议: 给孩子们分发几颗不同颜色的糖豆,一边享用点心,一边提醒他们,神的国就像王冠上的宝石一样,满了许多爱耶稣的美好之人


结束时的活动(5-10分钟)

在天国行进(游戏)

  • 孩子们等待被家长接走时,让他们戴上自己制作的珠宝王冠,假装自己在天国行进。

  • 选一个孩子做领队,其他孩子跟在后面,在房间里自由行进,例如绕过桌子、穿过椅子下方等。

  • 不时更换领队,让行进过程充满乐趣,直到大多数孩子被接走。

KING DAVID

LESSON 1: Anointed for God


This lesson, about David accepting God's offer to become king of Israel, will help the children realize that they must also accept God’s Gift of Heaven and everlasting life in His Kingdom.

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)

"Jesus said, 'My kingdom is not of this world.'" John 18:36 NIV


Talk about how Heaven is also a kingdom. Ask the children what they think of when they hear the word kingdom. Do they think of kings, queens, and knights in armor riding on strong horses? All those kingdoms will only last for a while, but God's Kingdom is forever and ever. Practice saying this verse with the children several times now and at times during the rest of the lesson.


BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you for story time. After the introduction, read the Children's version of the story. As an option, you can read the story sbout Samuel anointing David  directly from the Bible.


Introduction:What do you think it would be like to be crowned king or queen of a vast kingdom? Our story today is about a young boy named David. Although young, he was very very special in God's eyes. So special in fact that God decided to make him the new king of all his people.

(Option) Read 1 Samuel 16:1-13 (Samuel Anoints David)     


Discussion Questions:

1. How many brothers did David have? (7) 

2. Who was the youngest of the brothers? (David.)  

3. What was David’s job before he became king? (He was a shepherd.)

4. Where was David when his brothers were brought before Samuel? (Tending the sheep.)

5. What did Samuel notice about David when he saw him? (David was strong and handsome.) 

6. Did David or his family know what was going to happen? (No, God showed Samuel what to do, see verse 3.)

7. What did Samuel use to anoint David? (Oil from his horn.)

8. Did David accept the special job God had for him? (Yes, David accepted that he was going to be king.)

Begin snack time with prayer, thanking God for how wonderful He is to give us the gift of Heaven and to have eternal life with Him when we let Jesus into our heart. For today's snack you may want to give the children a few jelly beans of different colors. As they eat the treats, remind them of how God's Kingdom is full of many beautiful people who love Jesus, like jewels on a crown.


CLOSING ACTIVITY (5-10 minutes)

Marching Around Heaven (Activity)


As the children wait to be picked up, have them wear their Crown of Jewels craft, and pretend to be marching in Heaven. Let one child be the leader and have the others follow behind as he or she marches around the room. Suggest they go wherever, under tables, around chairs, etc. Change leaders often to keep the march lively. Continue until most of the children are picked up.
